Welcome

Welcome to the new and completely redesigned website for the Wheatland Wheelers Bicycle Club. The officers and board members have spent a lot of time and effort thinking of ways to improve the web experience for you. This is one of our big goals for 2013, to provide bicycle riders and prospective riders with information and guidance on riding a bicycle in the Walla Walla Valley—the cycling capital of Washington state. Our beautiful valley offers a cyclist mountains, vineyards and wineries, wheat fields, orchards and creeks—on flat straightaways and gentle rolling hills guaranteed to give you a workout. The sights are spectacular, and so is the weather.

The Wheatland Wheelers Bicycle Club is committed to promoting and supporting the sport of cycling for recreation, health and fitness. We are also committed to rider safety, educating the public on the presence of cyclists on the roads, and how we share the road with drivers. The cycling experience happens on a human powered vehicle with two wheels (or three for a toddler), regardless if you are a commuter, casual rider, a road cyclist, a BMX or mountain biking enthusiast, or using a bicycle for transportation. We want to make cycling enjoyable and accessible for everybody. Cycling is a great way to connect to the outdoors, meet new people and enjoy friendships. You’ll see that the Club sponsors events, such as the Ann Weatherill Cycling Classic, and the popular ice cream socials from May through August.

We hope you find this redesigned website fun, interactive, informative and helpful. There will be many adjustments we will have to make after launch, so please bear with us as we make this website even better. For example, we will be gradually adding cue sheets for rides throughout the valley. Check back with us often. And we want to hear from you. The new WWBC website has a comment section for feedback, suggestions and ideas.

So, enjoy the new website! If you’re not a member of the Club, please consider joining. Among the benefits are getting 10% off parts and accessories at Allegro Cyclery and the Bicycle Barn. Have a great bicycle riding season!
